Iran Kiwi Season Availability
Iran kiwi export season officially begins on 1 October, when fresh kiwi becomes legally eligible for international export from Iran. Harvest starts in the Astara region of Gilan Province during early October and continues until mid-November, while the main harvest in Mazandaran Province begins in mid-November and extends until mid-December.

Export Varieties
Duman Group primarily exports Hayward kiwi, the world’s leading commercial kiwi variety, preferred for its long shelf life, excellent storage performance, and suitability for long-distance shipping. For selected Gulf markets, we also supply Red Kiwi in punnet packaging based on seasonal availability and customer requirements. Golden kiwi is produced in very limited quantities in Iran and is not part of our regular export program.
Iran Kiwi Export to India with QR Code Requirements
Exporting fresh Iran kiwi to India requires approved orchard QR codes and packing house QR codes issued under the official plant quarantine protocol between Iran and India. Without these approvals, Iranian kiwi cannot be legally exported to the Indian market. Duman Group works exclusively with registered orchards and approved packing facilities to ensure full compliance with Indian import regulations.

Iran Kiwi Packaging and Grading Options
Every export market has different requirements for Iran kiwi packaging, size grading, and pallet loading. At Duman Group, fresh Iran kiwi is sorted, graded, packed, and palletized in our own packing house according to each buyer’s specifications and destination market standards. Only healthy fruit with suitable size, color, and appearance is selected for export, while Grade B fruit is supplied to specific markets, processing industries, or domestic channels based on quality and demand.
Iran Kiwi Size Grading
Iran kiwi is graded according to customer requirements and destination market preferences. For the Indian market, we commonly prepare sizes 42, 39, 36, 33, 30, and 27, with 30–42 being the preferred commercial range for many buyers. Size requirements may vary depending on the market, shipment plan, and buyer specifications.
Iran Kiwi Export Packaging
Packaging formats are selected based on each market’s handling and distribution system. Indian importers typically receive 10 kg net weight white plastic export baskets. For Russia, kiwi is usually packed in 4 kg single-layer packaging. For GCC markets, we supply 10 kg packs, 4 kg packs, and 1 kg punnets, while customers in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan generally prefer 4 kg export packaging.
Euro Pallet Loading
All shipments are prepared on Euro pallets using pallet patterns designed by our export team. The number of layers, basket arrangement, strapping, and stretch wrapping are planned to improve stability during refrigerated truck transport and sea freight. After palletization, each shipment remains in cold storage until the fruit reaches the required core temperature before loading into refrigerated containers or trucks, helping maintain product quality throughout international transit.
